I want to be seen

I want to be heard 

My voice is just too mute for words 

 

Surrounded by a sea of people

Yet feeling empty 

Trapped in my thoughts

There is no one here that can save me 

 

And then you appear 

A glimmer of hope 

In the corner of the room 

I can see you want to be let in too 

 

So many smiles 

All I feel is pain 

And then I hear you say my name 

 

When I hear your voice 

It feels like home 

Now I don’t feel so alone
