Support of Loneliness by Aparna Mohapatra

Fed up with suggestions of paths constantly lit with brightness,

Now I am set to search my way through night’s other face.

No one could make me achieve what I am born for,

Because from mother’s womb my only strength is my loneliness.

Had got many peers once,

Now I’m left with some

Of parents’ and sibling’s support,

I’m not confirmed.

And about true love,

It’s yet to come…

Everytime the souls vary,

But it’s the same lesson their behaviours carry,

No one could make me achieve what I am born for,

Because from mother’s womb my only strength is my loneliness.

Had requested many “humble” hearts,

I also had tried to threaten a few,

Their negative approach then,

Now feels to be the best nutrition for which I grew.

But I never realised it before,

Nor their attitudes knew,

No one could make me achieve what I am born for,

Because from mother’s womb my only strength is my loneliness.

Many a often, smoke of choked tears

Burnt my throat,

when I did much but nothing was everything I got.

I did decide to quit the battle for my own light,

proving all the advice and warnings true, against which I fought.

Had got lost in lust with depression

but love of passion awakened my flame of thought,

No one could make me achieve what I am born for,

Because from mother’s womb my only strength is my loneliness..

The poetess expression is lucid yet soul scratching. Her words are befitting to express the inertia of thoughts
