International Women’s Day Celebration – We Need You!

International Women’s Day falls on Sunday 8th March 2020, and we want to amplify and celebrate the voices of creative and passionate women on Forever Endeavour all weekend.

How can you get involved?

We are encouraging submissions of poetry, fiction and non-fiction that bring light to issues and challenges faced by women, amazing accomplishments achieved by women, and anything else that celebrates women and promotes gender equality. If you have a passion for feminism and equality, send over your submissions for this International Women’s Day celebration.

Please send your submissions to hello@foreverendeavour.uk with ‘IWD Submission’ in the subject line. Make sure you let us know if you would like your name published with your writing, or if you would prefer for it to be shared as anonymous, as well as any social media and blogs you have to share.

Who can get involved?

We would love to support and amplify the voices of female-identifying people as part of International Women’s Day and showcase the experiences and talents of these women. With this being said, everyone should be a feminist, so we welcome submissions from all passionate feminists who want to get involved.

What writing can I submit?

You can submit your creative writing in any form (fiction, non-fiction and poetry), but make sure you focus on the subject of women! As aforementioned, this can include:

  • highlighting issues, challenges and barriers women face due to gender inequality, objectification or any other challenges due to intersections of oppression with gender
  • celebrating women and their accomplishments, from the fantastic and original to the mundane and everyday
  • identifying your experience as a woman and what being a woman means to you

The deadline for submissions for this International Women’s Day celebration is Friday 6th March at 2pm GMT. We will be publishing pieces all weekend over Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th March.

We can’t wait to read your writing and please do not hesitate to ask any questions in the comments below.
