Lessons Unlearnt by Sabrina Harding

Battlefields erupting
Malcolm X & Martin Luther King laid down the foundations for liberation
Decades later lessons still unlearnt
Living in a realm striving for equality
Battlefields erupting
casualties accumulating
Flashbacks of mother’s personal crusades
Seeking justice for their sons
Journeying home a victim of race wrath
Trapped in a mist of hate
Masks veil knowing eyes
Riddles of idiocy
Appealing for latter generation
Unblock ears evacuate this evilness of insanity
Let freedom reign for all races, classes and ages
Live out Martin Luther Kings dream
