Outside by Jayda Marí

I’m used to not fitting in

Being the odd one out

On the outside looking in

Being able to get close to you

And ruining it

Knowing I’ll never be allowed back in

I have never hated the outside more

I would forgive you a thousand times

And one thousand times more

Walking away is never easy

Not for the one taking those steps

Not for the one who never thought

you’d leave

Sometimes we find ourselves fighting

To get back into a heart

We fought ourselves to walk away from
