One day I shall go on one knee
Like a man about to pray
And like the rising of the sun
I shall lift my head to behold
the beauty upon your face
Then out of my lips
Shall come the words will you marry me
Come with me and be my bride
Be my partner in life and all it entails

One day
I will be by your side
Not in spirit but there for you
to touch, hug, love and kiss
One day we shall stroll the cities and the parks
Admiring the beautiful works of Father God as we grow
old together in love
I wait for the day I recite to you my vows before a crowd
The day I get make mama proud and finally call you my wife
One day you and I will be one
And that day will surely come
