Poetry

ontology by Oscar Stirling Payne

Nothing can simply be
an object anymore:
Nothing is free
from the burden
of consciousness.
For example:
The corners
of cabinets
in your house
are waiting
for your toes.
Such a
rich amount
of surfaces
to stub.
